How to get from France to Alicante

Traveling to Alicante from France is very easy. There are many means of transport that will take you to the capital of the Costa Blanca to enjoy an unforgettable holiday. Spain, and the Mediterranean coast in particular, remain one of the favourites destinations of the French. Summer, cultural tourism and discover the Spanish gastronomy: all this is what the city of Alicante offers.

If you want a fast and enjoyable trip, the plane is always the best option. The Alicante-Elche Airport has connections to four French airports: Paris-Orly and Paris-Beauvais Tille in the capital, Toulouse in the south and Nantes-Atlantique in the west. Flights to the magical Parisian city are practically daily, including weekends.

Iif you prefer to travel by train, there is direct connection to Madrid and Barcelona via the AVE, the high-speed train linking the Mediterranean coast with Marseille, Toulouse, Lyon and Paris. And from Madrid, you can make a transfer and take another AVE to Alacant, a journey that lasts no more than two hours.

The Bus is another possible option to plan your trip, and one of the most economical. Direct lines are available from Paris to Alicante, with the advantage that it will leave you in the center of the city. From there, you will find your accommodation in Be Alicante in a few minutes, without having to make any other journeys. In addition to the city of lights, you can reach your destination from 41 other French cities.

If you have planned to come by car, the route from Paris passes by taking the motorway A-75 to Barcelona, and then the AP-7 that runs along the Mediterranean coast to Andalusia. The journey takes about 15 hours, with plenty of service stations and hotels along the way, in case you need to stop for a break.

Another alternative route is the A10-A23, which crosses the interior of France to the border with the Basque Country, and from there passes through the interior of Spain to the Valencian Community. A third option is to take the A10 to Andorra and from there take the AP-7 to the Mediterranean route.

The car is always the best option if you are looking for freedom to move around the province once you are here. But remember that you can always rent a car in the city or enjoy the many means of transport that connect to destinations such as Benidorm, Calpe, Torrevieja and Orihuela Costa.
